Luminescence of Solids at Low Temperatures

摘要: THE fluorescence of solids has generally been regarded as a comparative rarity confined to few groups compounds, which the sulphides zinc and calcium, uranyl salts, number platino-cyanides are amongst better known. Recent observations at low temperatures suggest that many other compounds fluorescent, fairly wide distribution throughout periodic table is indicated. Table 1 gives list some more striking not fluorescent room temperature. The intensity these weak even temperature liquid nitrogen ; also showing appreciable indicated in italics.
