摘要: Background Very few studies have investigated the influence of single activities daily living (ADL) at admission as possible predictors functional outcome after rehabilitation. Aim The aim current study was to investigate status and performance basic ADLs assessed by Functional Independence Measure (FIM) scale motor stroke during inpatient Design This is a prospective observational study. Setting Inpatients our Department Physical Medicine Rehabilitation. Population Two hundred sixty consecutive patients with primary diagnosis were enrolled 241 used in final analyses. Methods backward stepwise regression analyses applied predict outcome. first had age, gender, type, stroke-lesion size, aphasia, neglect, onset interval, Cumulative Illness Rating Scale, National Institute Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Fugl-Meyer Trunk Control Test, FIM (total, cognitive scores) independent variables. second included above variables plus items an variable. dependent discharge scores effectiveness total motor-FIM, destination. Results multivariate analysis showed that Fugl-Meyer, total, most important outcomes, while NIHSS score only predictor Conversely, when statistical model, grooming, dressing upper body, social interaction memory bowel control Conclusion Our indicates performances are among which interaction, body dressing, important. Clinical rehabilitation impact results this suggests that, designing other on predictions, researchers should also include tests assess variables, because may allow identification new prognostic indicators can be helpful for physician managing end period.
