摘要: The effect of antithyroid drugs on the efficacy radioiodine (131I) treatment is still controversial. This study evaluated methimazole pretreatment 131I therapy in Graves’ hyperthyroidism. Sixty-one untreated patients were randomly assigned to receive alone (32 patients) or plus with (30 mg/d; 29 patients). was administered 4 d after drug discontinuation. calculated dose 200 μCi/g thyroid tissue as estimated by ultrasound, corrected 24-h uptake. Serum TSH, T4, and free T4 measured before therapy, day treatment, then monthly for 1 yr. Considering cure euthyroidism hypothyroidism, based measurement, approximately 80% from both groups cured 3 months beginning treatment.
