摘要: Dynamic modeling has long been a valuable tool to support the analysis of ecological and economic systems, particularly their equilibrium properties responses internal or external forcing. Few studies so far, however, use address processes change over time in coupled socialecological systems. In this contribution we explore potential dynamic research governance for adaptation transformation social-ecological systems (SES). We focus our assessment on resilience thinking (RT) ecosystem stewardship (ES) as two perspectives that emphasize need understand manage Modeling far mainly used analyze regime shifts using generic models. Experiences from other fields such ecology, social simulation participatory research, indicate much larger problem solving real world contexts. review model types applications these align them with different tasks RT ES aimed at (1) enhancing understanding SES dynamics, (2) fostering inter- transdisciplinary knowledge integration (3) supporting societal transformation. organize roles reference scheme MORE along main dimensions developing conceptually sound based real-world contexts facilitating learning. provides guidance multiple methods enhance dynamics argue can policy making complex by providing approaches are sound, take values into account.
