Detection of GeV Gamma-Rays from HESS J1534−571 and Multiwavelength Implications for the Origin of the Nonthermal Emission

摘要: HESS J1534−571 is a very high-energy gamma-ray source that was discovered by the H.E.S.S. observatory and reported as one of several new sources with shell-like morphology at TeV energies, matching in size location supernova remnant (SNR) G323.7−1.0 radio observations Molonglo Galactic Plane Survey. Many known shells also show X-ray emission; however, no counterpart has been seen for J1534−571. The detection GeV using data from Fermi satellite compatible extension SNR shows hard power-law spectrum presented here, together first broadband modeling nonthermal emission this source. It shown leptonic multiwavelength corresponding set physical parameters given. required total energy budget leptons reasonable, ~1.5 × 1048 erg distance to object 5 kpc. imply hadronic scenario, on other hand, requires cosmic-ray deviates considerably theoretical expectations particle acceleration.
