摘要: The force–displacement curve for removal of an elongated solid particle from the surface liquid droplets or gas bubbles is calculated and compared to our previous reported results spherical particles. adsorption energy prolate particles known be larger than that spheres. We show in fact minimum possible work done upon can less a sphere. This result obtained when dissipation interfacial energy, stored fluid film, attaching during their displacement, properly accounted for. unavoidable, even if are removed infinitely slowly. Once actually leaves surface, formed bridge relaxes thus dissipating any as returns its original undistorted state. difference between seen become increasingly with smaller droplet size ratios. For example, ratio 1 : 100, 1.93 times greater energy. However, we also find given ratio, there value aspect which (combined dissipated adsorbed energy) attains value.
