Understanding the Journals that Write Us: A 30th Birthday Reflection

摘要: Abstract 2013 marked the 30th anniversary, or birthday, of Computers and Composition journal. In order to provide a reflective picture where computers composition subdiscipline has been, what identities it cultivated, stands in relation larger field composition, this study examines articles published College Communication (CCC) (CC 2) both journals’ participation sticky theory-practice dance; 3) ways each journal relates (or fails relate) other subdisciplines composition; 4) major topics displayed significantly one minimally other; 5) overall trend programmatic stasis (slow) professional increase. This study's sixth finding presents an emerging C&C: slow nuanced appearance sophisticated development from single multiple points entry journal's articles. Finally, these findings are put dialogue with current assertions about relationship between CCC C&C explore how they align challenge previous assumptions.
