摘要: This is an analytical study on the time development of hydrodynamic dispersion inert species in electroosmotic flow through a rectangular channel. The objective to determine how channel side walls may affect coefficient at different instants time. To this end, generalized model, which valid for short and long times, employed present study. Analytical expressions are derived convection coefficients as functions time, aspect ratio channel, Debye-Huckel parameter representing thickness electric double layer. For transport large ratio, undergo several stages transience. initial, fast controlled by molecular diffusion across narrow height, while later, slower governed wider breadth. sufficiently there can be interlude between these two periods during nearly steady, signifying resemblance that parallel-plate Given will reach fully-developed steady value times higher than without wall effects. scales transience identified paper.
