摘要: Rodents occur worldwide and have adapted to most types of ecosystems. provide many important ecosystem functions while rodent species do not cause serious damage problems, a small number do. Rodent-caused includes crop stored food consumption contamination, forestry nursery damage, rangeland ornamental plant property cable irrigation pipe disease transmission, and, when introduced islands, even extinction native flora fauna. Many tools are used reduce populations damage. Rodenticides an especially tool in management. active ingredients formulations available for different situations. their use regulated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) authorized State agencies. Following regulatory review, approved label dictates how product must be who has authority product. All labels contain mitigation measures risk workers, consumers, pets, livestock, non-target animals, environment. Recently, EPA been re-evaluating major rodenticides as part periodic re-registration process. To accidental exposures children impacts wildlife, proposed new hazards certain that around homes other buildings. If implemented proposed, these may affect availability some common rodenticides.
