摘要: Abstract The regulation of pro- and anti-mediator release from cells within the alveolar space would represent a desirable mechanism serving to protect this delicate gas-exchanging region lung. This study investigates effect surfactant lipids on tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), potent inflammatory cytokine, prostaglandin E 2 (PGE ), lipid mediator with anti-inflammatory properties. results investigation reveal marked these two important mediators monocytic cell line, MonoMac 6 (MM6), by phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), cholesterol (Chol) sphingomyelin (SM). PC, PE Chol demonstrated downregulation TNF-α production at concentrations 125 250 μg/ml. Interestingly, SM significantly up regulated concentrations. However, PGE in MM6 incubated same was increased PC Chol, decreased pre-treated SM. indicates role for immunoregulation.
