摘要: The gene encoding the coleopteran–specific insect control protein from Bacillus thuringiensis var. tenebrionis was isolated and characterized. When expressed in either E. coli or P. fluorescens directs production of biologically active that is lethal to Colorado potato beetle. contains two functional translational initiation codons same reading frame leading both full length an N–terminal truncated form. has been engineered produce each these proteins separately, against Native crystals B.t. were found contain five distinct derived this single as primary translation products result proteolysis. Comparison a lepidopteran–specific revealed only limited regions homology.
