摘要: Summary The role of development cooperation in fostering improved environmental governance extractive industries African countries exposed to the expanding global uranium frontier remains ambiguous. With primary data, this paper demonstrates how foreign aid Niger has ignored grievances on grave impacts and rampant institutional failures while a crisis discourse desertification food insecurity diverts attention from geopolitical interests mineral wealth. We argue that delivery insufficient address structural deficiencies cemented by decades investment-friendly ‘politics mining’ conclude domestic reforms must be backed stronger transnational accountability mechanisms overcome corporate impunity.
