摘要: Theoretical cross sections for the dissociation of deuteron by absorption γ-rays, Chadwick-Goldhaber effect, have been calculated, using a square well law potential, both ordinary type and Majorana type. The curves section as function energy various assumed widths are given. For less than 2 × 10-13 cm they quite similar in shape either interaction. greater ordinary, potential shows fairly sharp peak at 4.7 MEV (for width 4 cm) whereas same much flatter maximum 6.2 MEV. It is pointed out that suitable measurements relative would give means telling which interaction obeyed an approximate figure range
