摘要: This paper focuses upon the youngest terraces of Moselle and its tributary Meurthe (NE France SW Germany). It includes research on several sections, in particular key sections Golbey-Pre Droue Thornich-Hochrech (located vicinity Vosges Massif Rhenish Massif, respectively), use Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating method. Our investigations made it possible to obtain a more robust chronostratigraphical framework update previous model fluvial response climate change. The results demonstrate that terrace M3 (first formed after capture Upper by Palaeo-Meurthe) has same age from Massif. formation this included two main periods sedimentation attributed Late Saalian (MIS 6) Early Weichselian 5), respectively. They were separated major episode erosion may be allocated MIS 6–5 transition basis chronological sedimentological evidence. led removal most 6 deposits, whereas 5 deposits have been widely preserved following subsequent 5–4) incision. evolution somewhat contrasts with observed Sarre valley, Moselle, many systems western Europe, which show better preservation cold periods. atypical behaviour is explained relationship between glaciers covering upper catchment (Vosges Massif) during Pleistocene
