摘要: The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has been developing the concept of using solid oxide fuel cells as electrolyzers for large-scale, high-temperature (efficient), hydrogen production. This program is sponsored by U.S. Department Energy under Nuclear Hydrogen Initiative. Utilizing a cell an electrolyzer introduces some inherent differences in operating conditions. In particular, performance operated degrades with time faster. issue and stack degradation over identified major barrier to technology development. Consequently, INL working together Ceramatec, Inc. (Salt Lake City, Utah) improve long-term high temperature electrolyzers. As part this research partnership, conducted 2500 hour test Ceramatec designed produced electrolysis mode. paper will provide summary experimental results date ongoing test.
