摘要: The obligately anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) reaction with nitrite as primary electron acceptor is catalysed by the planctomycete-like bacteria Brocadia anammoxidans , Kuenenia stuttgartiensis and Scalindua sorokinii . anammox use a complex mechanism involving hydrazine an intermediate. They have unique prokaryotic organelle, anammoxosome, surrounded ladderane lipids, which exclusively contains oxidoreductase major protein to combine ammonia in one-to-one fashion. In addition peculiar microbiology, was shown be very important oceanic nitrogen cycle, proved good alternative for treatment of high-strength nitrogenous waste streams. With assembly K. genome at Genoscope, Evry, France, has entered genomic proteomic era, enabling elucidation many intriguing aspects this fascinating microbial process.
