摘要: Callinectes sapidus is native to the Atlantic coasts of Americas. In Mediterranean, it appeared around 1949 and though that established in East Mediterranean waters, relevant studies are limited. The aim present study report quantitative qualitative data on blue crab’s biology ecology its non-native range, indispensable for management purposes. Papapouli Lagoon Thermaikos Gulf ecologically impacted by crabs. Fyke nets with a 20 mm mesh opening were soaked 12 14 h during each survey. Abiotic environmental parameters obtained. length–weight relationships expressed equation W = aLb. species’ ecological preferences at assessed PERMANOVA analysis, using abiotic as factors. Student’s t-tests used assess differences between sexes. sex ratio population was Chi-square (χ2) analysis. found be 1.28:1, favour males. most dominant group size male crabs 61–70 CL 130–139 CW. Also, female 60–69 120–129 maximum abundance recorded salinity range from 24‰ 25‰ water temperature 26 28 °C.
