摘要: The treatment of most cancers is still inadequate, despite tremendous steady progress in drug discovery and effective prevention. Nature an attractive source new therapeutics. Several medicinal plants their biomarkers have been widely used for the cancer with less known scientific basis functioning. Although a wide array plant derived active metabolites play role prevention cancer, more extensive evaluation mechanisms required. Styryl-lactones are group secondary ubiquitous genus Goniothalamus that demonstrated to possess antiproliferative activity against cells. A large body evidence suggests this associated induction apoptosis target In effort promote further research on Goniothalamus, review offers broad analysis current knowledge Goniothalamin (GTN) or 5, 6, dihydro-6-styryl-2-pyronone (C13H12O2), natural occurring styryl-lactone.
