摘要: We have realized a scheme for continuous loading of magnetic trap (MT). ${}^{52}\mathrm{Cr}$ atoms are continuously captured and cooled in magneto-optical (MOT). Optical pumping to metastable state decouples from the cooling light. Due their high moment $(6 {\ensuremath{\mu}}_{B}),$ low-field seeking trapped quadrupole field provided by MOT. Limited inelastic collisions between MOT MT, we load ${10}^{8}$ at rate atoms/s below $100 \ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{K}$ into MT. repumping after allows us realize MT ground-state chromium atoms.
