摘要: This paper investigates the effect of nearby nature substitute sites on preferences for restoration. Contrary to prior studies, we use a respondent-centric approach control sites. We assess each respondent-specific spatial context by computing densities within various ranges from respondent’s home. considers and non-use values together. Data three similar discrete choice experiments carried out in Flanders (Belgium) are compared. Different discounting factors tested explore how substitution behaves with regard distance. Latent class analyses performed account preference heterogeneity among respondents. observe divergent behaviours across groups The “distance-to-substitutes” affects respondents gauge find significant influence squared average buffer distance but this varies sign case studies classes Our results demonstrate that individual-specific GIS data can significantly improve representation transferability value functions. However, roles played perception respondents’ capacity still deserves further attention future research.
