摘要: Chloroform can be formed as a disinfection by-product during water chlorination, one of the primary modalities for purifying municipal supplies human consumption. The aim this study was to characterize immunotoxic effects chloroform in female B6C3F1 mice when exposure occurred via drinking water. Consistent with exposure, were exposed chloroform-containing at 2.5, 10, 25, 100, and 250 ppm 28 days. examined endpoints included on body organ weights, consumption, hematology, innate immunity, humoral cell-mediated immunity. functions natural killer, B-, T-cells not altered by concentrations tested, except that an increase splenocyte basal proliferation observed levels 100 ppm.
