摘要: A good understanding of the relationship between highway performance, such as crash rates and travel delays, winter road maintenance activities under different weather traffic conditions is essential to development cost-effective policies standards, operation strategies technologies. This research specifically concerned about mobility benefit maintenance. microscopic simulation model used investigate patterns adverse surface conditions. segment Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) located in Great Toronto Area, Ontario study. The modeling results indicate that aimed at achieving bare pavement during heavy snowfall could reduce total delay by 5 36 percent, depending level demand highway.
