摘要: The 3rd World Conference on Kisspeptin, "Kisspeptin 2017: Brain and Beyond" was held March 30-31 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida, providing an international forum for multidisciplinary scientists to meet share cutting-edge research kisspeptin biology its relevance human health disease. meeting built upon previous world conferences focused role of associated peptides control gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion reproduction. Based recent discoveries, scope this expanded include functions related other physiological systems including energy homeostasis, pregnancy, ovarian uterine function, thermoregulation. In addition, discussions addressed translation basic knowledge treatment disease, with goal seeking consensus about best approaches improve health. two-day featured a non-traditional structure, each day starting poster sessions followed by lunch facilitated large-group short presentations maximize exchange new, unpublished data. Topics were identified survey prior meeting, major unresolved questions, important controversies, future directions field. Finally, career development activities provided mentoring trainees junior investigators, networking opportunities those individuals established researchers Overall, rated as success attendees covered wide range lively provocative discussion topics changing nature field "kisspeptinology" future.
