摘要: Background Surgical site infections (SSIs) following hip fracture surgeries have profound clinical and economic implications. The study aims to analyze the effect of an integrative SSI prevention care bundle on incidence among surgical patients. also examine association between mortality, readmission, duration hospitalization, hospital cost. Methods A retrospective cohort was carried out assess in acute unit Singapore from January 2015 September 2017. Patients who developed fell into exposure group, whereas patients without nonexposure group. comparison length stay, inpatient bill size conducted 2 groups. Results Among 758 performed during period, 14 (1.8%) SSIs were documented. Compared with no SSI, 4.27times more likely be readmitted within 30days, had 2.47times longer 2.15times size. Conclusions An that capitalizes expertise a multidisciplinary team has promoted shared responsibility proven effective preventing while contributing better patient outcomes unit.
