摘要: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), or male-pattern baldness, is the most common form of hair loss. Its pathogenesis androgen dependent, and genetic predisposition major requirement for phenotype. We demonstrate that variability in receptor gene (AR) cardinal prerequisite development early-onset AGA, with an etiological fraction 0.46. The investigation a large number variants covering AR locus suggests polyglycine-encoding GGN repeat exon 1 plausible candidate conferring functional effect. X-chromosomal location stresses importance maternal line inheritance AGA.
