Control of unsteady, eccentric fixation in amblyopic eyes by auditory feedback of eye position.

摘要: A technique for providing amblyopes with auditory feedback signals of eye position errors is described. With cues, 12 adult eccentrically fixing strabismus and/or anisometropia have been able to maintain steady and foveal fixation the amblyopic eye. The changes observed in patterns were both quantitative qualitative; such feedback, often exhibited sequences normal-appearing fixation. Some our subjects successful maintaining short periods time after turned off, apparently using visual error signals. For two subjects, also promoted major improvements smooth tracking performance. We conclude that use has significant value basic studies mechanisms underlying amblyopia potentially clinical treatment this condition.
