摘要: BACKGROUND & AIMS: Regeneration from cerulein-induced pancreatitis is accompanied by a transient synthesis and deposition of extracellular matrix components in the rat pancreas. The pleiotropic transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta1 has been suggested to regulate remodeling during regeneration acute pancreatitis. present study was designed verify this hypothesis investigating effect TGF-beta1 inhibition. METHODS: Experimental induced rats supramaximal doses cerulein. biological activity inhibited injections neutralizing antibody. Changes content proteins, TGFs, their messenger RNA concentrations were monitored. RESULTS: expression pancreatic cells suppressed after induction application Immunochemical analysis showed clear reduction formation pancreas antibody-treated animals. hydroxyproline concentration collagen types I III, fibronectin on protein, level significantly reduced treated CONCLUSIONS: These results provide evidence that involved regulation (Gastroenterology 1997 Jul;113(1):295-303)
