摘要: Background—A C825T polymorphism was recently identified in the human gene encoding for β3-subunit of heterotrimeric G proteins. The 825T allele is associated with a splice variant Gβ3 and enhanced signal transduction. We hypothesized that patients carrying exhibit modified phenotype. resulting enhancement transduction should be detectable Gβγ-dimer–mediated acetylcholine-stimulated K+ current (IK,ACh). Methods Results—Seventy undergoing cardiac surgery were genotyped polymorphism. In right atrial myocytes from these patients, inward rectifier currents (IK1, IK,ACh) studied whole-cell patch-clamp technique.
