摘要: Patients are selected for intraperitoneal chemotherapy based on the condition of peritoneal cavity and volume residual disease, as determined by second-look surgery. Several techniques have been described to assess distribution fluids. They rely point, opposed area, measurements. We performed serial radionuclide scans 15 patients undergoing chemo ovarian cancer. Scans were following administration 500-1000 ml 99Tc-labeled human serum albumin in normal saline. Each patient underwent three at least 4 weeks apart. Radionuclide digitized computerized analysis. Area picture elements (pixels) optical density (mass) regions analyzed similarities pattern distribution. analysis was used divide into two groups. Group 2 (n = 7) had more with < 0.5 cm disease (P .051) no evidence 0.1) compared group 1 8). No differences overall survival found 0.21). objective measurement intraperitoneally administered fluids exists. Computer image may be an improvement over static scoring non-invasive imaging studies.
