摘要: Multivariate analyses of clinical presentation, subspecies identity the causal organism, and Leishmania-specific immune response parameters (indirect fluorescent antibody test [IFAT], cutaneous delayed type hypersensitivity [DTH], in vitro lymphocyte transformation [LT]) 441 patients with tegumentary leishmaniasis were used to examine human host-parasite interaction L. braziliensis infection. Mucocutaneous disease (P < .002) infection .001) independently associated significantly higher IFAT titers DTH than or panamensis Lesion size was also correlated titer (P. .001). Although time lesion evolution highly all parameters, differences form independent duration (three-way analysis variance). In contrast response, proliferative Leishmania antigen did not correlate only weakly infecting when controlled. The association mucosal presentation a particular correlation both variables heightened supports possibility mechanisms pathogenesis leishmaniasis.
