摘要: Primary residual forest biomass is an important source of energy in Sweden. The fuel quality this depends on several factors including its moisture content, ash and particle size distribution. For optimal combustion, the should have a low content fine particles. objective study was to compare these metrics for five common assortments produced with drum chipper operated using two different sieve sizes (standard & large). Sieve had no significant effect any studied metrics. On average, 37–63% fuel’s dry mass distributed particles 16–31.5 mm. Because logging residues (tops branches) contain relatively little stem wood, average (˂3.15 mm) by their chipping around 10% greater than that other assortments.
