摘要: In the present study, polyethylene glycol (PEG) were blended with acrylic polymers like polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), Eudragit S (Eud S), and E E) as novel form stable phase change materials (PCMs) characterized by optical microscopy, spectroscopy viscosity techniques. Latent heat thermal energy storage (LHTES) properties of blends evaluated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique. form-stable blends, PEG acted change-LHTES material when served supporting because their adhesion property. The maximum percentage was found 80% w/w for any blend in which no leakage occurred 100 heating/cooling cycles. microscopy investigations revealed that behavior observed self organized distributed matrix rather than chain-like structures. interactions between components (PEG one polymers) analyzed Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) viscosimetry key LHTES (melting freezing temperatures, latent heats melting blends) DSC. DSC results indicated PEG/PMMA, PEG/Eud S, PCMs convenient applications terms satisfying properties. Therefore, these could be incorporated into an system advantage direct utility order to store daytime solar space heating. © 2006 American Institute Chemical Engineers AIChE J,
