摘要: The direct measurement of nonequilibrium vibrational level populations N2 at the center an electric discharge has been demonstrated by a new diagnostic technique: coherent anti‐Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS). On assumption Boltzmann equilibrium among only lowest levels, method developed and utilized for determination all other even in case extreme deviations from equilibrium. Limitations are discussed illustrated.
