摘要: Abstract : The US Army Engineer Topographic Laboratories are currently investigating the automation of cartographic generalization and displacement activities. This long-term effort will be divided into three phases: a study phase for examining present manual computer-assisted methods displacement; research software selecting, testing, modifying promising algorithms; production phase. was conducted by Zycor, Inc. interim results discussed in this paper. These include an analysis compilation process at Defense Mapping Agency Hydrographic/Topographic Center discussion importance understanding when developing automated algorithms.
