摘要: The total amount of energy reaching the outer limit Earth’s atmosphere is defined as solar constant. This an inappropriate name for a magnitude that known to vary over time, but it very much reflects quotidian perception sun’s virtually unchangeable. Such perceptions have started change. To find reasons this change, we do not look at sun itself, alterations occurring within our own atmosphere. First, release greenhouse gases has increased capacity capture heat. Second, ozone depletion decreased atmosphere’s ability filter out some most damaging wavelengths ultraviolet region.
