摘要: Abstract In order to search for alternative non-pollutant substances as antifouling compounds, the effects of sodium benzoate and different tannins (from chestnut, mimosa quebracho) were studied. Balanus amphitrite (Cirripedia, Balanidae) nauplii used in laboratory bioassays. The results showed that both benzoates have a narcotic effect on these larvae, this was faster concentration compounds increased. Larvae rapidly recovered when they transferred fresh, non-toxic, artificial sea water. Field trials Mar del Plata harbor confirmed soluble matrix paints, formulated with or agents, successful preventing barnacle attachment. These indicate potential bioactivity fouling organisms.
