Treatment of tuberous breasts utilizing tissue expansion.

摘要: This article presents the tissue expansion technique for treatment of tuberous breast and its variant, tubular breast. The objectives are different in two deformities, but, general, one has to expand base circumference breast, skin lower hemisphere release tightness at skin-areola juncture, position inframammary fold, increase volume envelope, reduce size areola correct deformity, perform a mastopexy when necessary. To achieve these objectives, we use expander introduced either beneath or pectoral muscle through an incision along fold.
