摘要: One of the major functions central nervous system is generation movement in response to sensory stimulation. The visual guidance saccadic eye represents one form sensory-to-motor transformation that has contributed significantly our understanding motor control and sensorimotor processing at large. neural circuitry controlling movements now understood a level sufficient link specific roles number saccade-related cortical subcortical areas. In this chapter, we review main areas for saccades, concentrating mostly on role posterior cerebellar vermis (PV), with dorsal pontine nuclei nucleus reticularis tegmenti pontis as gateway PV fastigial between brainstem saccade generator. We argue key structure enabling learning contribution based duration by Purkinje cell population signal.
