摘要: The observed growth failure in infants with pulmonary insufficiency is postulated to be a consequence of elevated rates energy expenditure. Assessment expenditure by the classical technique indirect calorimetry has yielded conflicting results. adoption newer, doubly labeled water provided evidence support increased chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease and minimally ill, extremely low birth weight infants. holds great promise for detailed study variety clinical conditions, including very ill as well free-living subjects.
