摘要: Microtus agrestis (Linnaeus, 1761) is a relatively small microtine rodent commonly called the field vole. It has compact body, blunt oval head, short round ears that barely protrude from fur, and short, bicolored, rather stiff tail. easily confused with sympatric or parapatric arvalis, M. oeconomus, levis (M. rossiaermeridonalis) indistinguishable juveniles. There geographical variation of size coloration ranging across Europe south Pyrenees to Arctic coast Alps eastward River Yenisei Lake Baikal in Asia up elevations 2,100 m. prefers wet meadow areas, riverside habitats, forests dense herbaceous cover. considered represent trace 1st radiation genus Europe.
