摘要: Polyploidy or whole-genome duplication is a frequent phenomenon within the plant kingdom and has been associated with occurrence of evolutionary novelty increase in biological complexity. Because genome-wide events duplicate whole molecular networks it interest to investigate how these evolve subsequent such events. Although genome duplications are generally followed by massive gene loss, at least part network usually retained can rewire execute novel functions. Alternatively, remain largely redundant as confer robustness against mutations. The increasing availability high-throughput data makes possible study evolution following level. Here we discuss use 'omics' analysis provide insights on redundancy rewiring conclude some directions for future research.
