摘要: Many pathogens gain entry into a host organism by crossing the epithelia of digestive, respiratory or genital tracts. The main defense against this is mucosal immune system. In gut mucosa, antigen sampling sites contain organized lymphoid tissue including follicles. These cellular assemblies, which form large aggregates in Peyer’s patches, sample lumenal antigens, resulting stimulation both T cells and B lymphoblasts, committed to IgA synthesis. This leads production secretory antibodies isotype. Secretory (slgA) are thought act exclusion. That is, slgA prevents pathogen from contacting surface agglutination, entrapment complexes mucus, clearance peristalsis (Brandtzaeg, 1989; Childers, et al., Mestecky, 1988).
