摘要: In mammals and birds, all oxygen used (VO2) must pass through the lungs; hence, some degree of coupling between VO2 pulmonary ventilation (VE) is highly predictable. Nevertheless, VE also involved with CO2 elimination, a task that often in conflict convection O2. hot or cold conditions, relationship includes participation respiratory apparatus to control body temperature water balance. Some compromise among these tasks achieved changes breathing pattern, uncoupling alveolar from VE. This article examines primarily under thermal stimuli. process, it considers how influenced by hypoxia, hypercapnia metabolic level. The shuffling emergency situations illustrates constraints on VE-VO2 for protection blood gases have ample room flexibility. However, when other priorities do not interfere primary goal gas exchange, follows rate quite closely. fact arterial remains stable metabolism changed most diverse circumstances (moderate exercise, cold, exercise combined, variations size, caloric intake, age, time day, hormones, drugs, etc.) makes unlikely are controlled parallel condition responsible change. Rather, observations support view gaseous component rate, probably CO2, may provide link level
