摘要: The strategies used by parasitic cuckoos to fool their hosts have intrigued naturalists and ornithologists for centuries. Here I review some of the tricks Australian increase host nest availability, access nests, into accepting eggs chicks. Some these are widely cuckoo species around world, but other traits, such as cryptic mimetic chicks, appear be largely restricted Australasian cuckoos. Generalist face greater challenges than specialists if they must multiple species, this provides a possible explanation why different evolved strate- gies deception.
