摘要: The operating characteristics of thirteen municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) with design capacities between 50,000 and 300,000 m 3 /d (mean 75,000 /d) were studied. processes used by these included one biofilter (BIO); two A/O (activated sludge anaerobic aerobic in sequence); four A2/O (modified anaerobic, annoxic (denitrification) cells three oxidation ditches (OXD); A/B (absorption-bio-oxidation two-stage [anaerobic cell followed cell]); sequencing batch reactor (SBR). study objective was to determine whether the WWTPs at conditions, if not, try identify causes under-performance. All produced a treated effluent quality which compliance few exceptions. Nine mean 62% hydraulic flows. Thirteen 56% five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) 84% total suspended solids (TSS) loadings. Three received high-strength (WW) (BOD >400 mg/L), normal-strength WW = 150 260 mg/L) five weak-strength <150 mg/L). strength appeared be local characteristic. capital plant costs for cubic metre per day 232 USD (104 444 USD); consequently, 80 100 MUSD investment is unused.
