摘要: Experimental and theoretical work on the cathode region of a cold-cathode helium glow discharge is described. A current balance, or ratio ion to electron current, at deduced from precise electric field maps gas density measurements for five densities. Monte Carlo simulations are compared empirical balance cases. New diagnostics based LIF described used determine temperature low energy electrons trapped in negative glow. The Convective Scheme self-consistent (electric field) kinetic model fall region. Prospects good models electrode-to-electrode Scheme.
