摘要: A relationship exists between tumours and malformations both generally in particular combinations. This is also valid for minor errors of morphogenesis suggesting that embryonic are an expression aberrant intra-uterine morphogenesis. We speculated these aberrations might manifest other morphological defects, especially anomalies the ribs. reviewed chest roentgenographs 1000 children with malignancies rib compared them to 200 patients mainly infectious diseases. found 242 218 (21.8%) 11 (5.5%) without malignancy. difference was statistically highly significant (P less than 0.001). high incidence cervical ribs neuroblastoma (33%), brain tumour (27.4%), leukaemia (26.8%), soft tissue sarcoma (24.5%), Wilms (23.5%) Ewing (17.1%). Only showed a bifurcation (4.5%). The increased mesenchymal defects may be another clue altered origin. In anomaly neurocristopathy as proposed association congenital heart disease neuroblastoma.
