摘要: This study represented an endeavor to observe clinical signs and pathological lesions in broiler chicks suffering from experimental Infectious stunting syndrome (ISS). One hundred twenty day old were divided randomly into two equal groups i.e. control (A) inoculated (B). At one of age each chick the (A B) was dosed with ml either tryptose phosphate broth or prepared inoculum respectively. Chicks both housed separately under similar standard management. Inoculation induced characteristic changes birds ,, treatment group like brownish diarrhoea, lameness, feather developing problems paleness combs, wattles shanks. By day-29 experiment all stunted group-B number group-A slaughtered. These examined thoroughly record gross various stmcnll'es then severely affected organs processed for histopathological examination. The skeletons britlle, keel bones showed quite prominence while muscles subcutaneous tissues almost devoid fat. Grossly it observed that pancreas, spleen bursa Fabricius atrophied intestines ballooned undigested feed gases. Histopathological examination pancreas revealed a classical picture necessary understanding pathogenesis syndrome. acinar cells underwent vacuolation, degeneration necrosis. 1l1e zymogen granules absent cells. A change inflammato1y reaction more pancreatic ducts where epithelium fibrous occluded lumen led obstmction drainage.
