Institutions and Credible Commitment

摘要: In this essay I intend to assess the road we have travelled in ten years since first conference on Institutional Economics with objectives of suggesting where should go from here. The suggestions will be personal reflecting both my special interests as an economic historian and undoubtedly subjective perceptions agenda research. title gives away key questions that believe must answer. How economies past developed institutions provided credible commitment has enabled more complex contracting realized; what lessons can derive experience value today going process building or rebuilding economies?
