Nanopowders of YAl3(BO3)4 doped by Nd, Yb and Cr obtained by sol–gel method: Synthesis, structure and luminescence properties

摘要: Abstract Structure, morphology and luminescence properties of nanocrystalline samples YAl 3 (BO ) 4 (YAB) undoped doped with neodymium, ytterbium chromium obtained by the sol–gel method are presented. The best results synthesis for mannitol as polymerizing agent. Single phase nanopowder is pure YAB. Dopants destroy compound structure; two other compounds, namely Al 18 B O 33 YBO , were revealed X-ray investigation. Nanopowders show isometric needles forms, calculated size crystallites about 60 nm. Their optical determined compared to data single crystal counterparts. It shown that influence rare earth ions incorporated into on luminescent spectra excited state relaxation dynamics nanopowders negligibly small when content order several wt%. Residual impurity phases do not affect significantly spectroscopic YAB nanopowders.
